Round-up of news on today’s opinions

Here is some early coverage of today’s opinions.

The Court released opinions in four argued cases, American Trucking Associations v. Los Angeles, Tarrant Regional Water District v. Herrmann, United States v. Davila, and Association for Molecular Pathology v. Myriad Genetics. Greg Stohr of Bloomberg has coverage of the ruling in Myriad Genetics, in which a unanimous Court held that synthetic DNA is patentable, but natural isolated DNA is not; other coverage comes from Adam Liptak of The New York Times and the Associated Press. The Associated Press also covers Tarrant Regional Water District, in which a unanimous Court ruled the Red River Compact, a congressionally sanctioned agreement that allocates rights to the water of the Red River among Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, and Louisiana, does not preempt the Oklahoma water laws at issue in this case.  Coverage of the Court’s decision in American Trucking Associations, in which the Court overturned part of the anti-smog program at the Port of Los Angeles, comes from the Associated Press.
