This week at the Court

On Monday the Court issued additional orders from its January 11 Conference, which Lyle covered for this blog. Among other orders, the Court called for the views of the Solicitor General in three cases. On Friday, Lyle also reported on the six cases that the Court granted shortly after the Conference that afternoon.
After orders, the Justices returned to the bench for the second week of the January sitting. The Justices are scheduled to hear two arguments per day this week, Monday through Wednesday.
On Tuesday the Court announced its opinion in Lozman v. Riviera Beach, Florida.
