New Filing: Respondents Brief in Reed Elsevier v. Muchnick

Yesterday the Stanford Supreme Court Litigation Clinic filed this brief on behalf of respondents Irving Muchnick et al. in No. 08-103, Reed Elsevier v. Muchnick.  The question presented in the case is whether 17 U.S.C. § 411(a) restricts the subject matter of the federal courts over copyright infringement actions.  Charles D. Chalmers of Fairfax, California is counsel of record for the respondents.  Pam Karlan led the Stanford team, with the able assistance of David Schwartz, Tiffany Cartwright, and Josh Friedman, along with summer clinic student Jacqueline de Armas.
